About this course
Sound Trail is a 12-week phonics course for pre-K and kindergarten. Ferris the Fox and friends teach a few letters at a time in a set order, then every day the child hears sounds, blends them into words, builds words from letters and reads short lines made only from letters and heart words already taught. Every line is read aloud, a grown-up sits alongside, and every week is free.
Kids will
- Hear rhymes, syllables and the first, middle and last sounds in words
- Match every letter to its most common sound
- Blend sounds to read short words like sat, pig and duck
- Build words from letters by listening to each sound
- Read short lines and stories using only taught letters and heart words
