Grow It is a free online course about plants and gardening, in two versions: Kindergarten to Grade 2, and Grades 3 to 5. Kids sprout a real bean and look after it through the course while Rocket, Raven and Nova explore seeds, roots, stems, leaves, flowers, bees and soil. Older kids run fair tests, draw line plots, build a compost bottle and design a small garden. Short lessons run Monday to Friday, and Saturday is Grow It Day, a family activity with a note for the grown-up. Every fact is checked against sources such as the USDA, the National Park Service and university extension services. A windowsill is all you need.
Pick the course for your child's grade. Every course is free.

No. A sunny windowsill is enough, and each week lists the materials it needs. Most are simple, like dry beans, clear cups, paper towels and a little potting mix.
Grow It K to 2 is read aloud and every answer is a tap, so pre-readers can follow. Grow It Grades 3 to 5 goes deeper into how plants make food, life cycles, traits and soil, and asks kids to type short answers.
Kids wear gloves for soil and wash their hands after. A grown-up handles tools, potting mix and anything sharp. Nothing found outside or grown in an activity is eaten.
Coding, science, engineering, math and AI literacy from kindergarten through Grade 12. Every course is free.
