About this course

Grow It K to 2 is a 12-week plant science and gardening course for kindergarten to second grade. Rocket, Raven and Nova sprout beans, watch roots and shoots, test what plants need, meet bees and worms, and plan a little garden through short read-aloud lessons, tap-to-answer checks, a daily sight-word spot and a Grow It Day the family does together. A windowsill is all you need. Every week is free.

Kids will

  • Tell what plants need to live and grow
  • Sprout a seed and watch the root and shoot appear
  • Name plant parts and the job each one does
  • Run a simple fair test with light and water
  • Explain how bees help flowers make seeds
  • Notice how soil, worms and plants help each other
